17.6 DID for Privacy Programs

Privacy is a fundamental human rights and foundation to maintaining

a free society and to protect a democratic way of life. Privacy also

means user’s full control over personal data, which is shared only

with consent.

Gartner says, by 2023, 65% of the World’s Population will have

its personal data covered under modern privacy regulations, up

from 10% in 2020. Privacy-Tech, like Reg-Tech, is emerging.

In recent times, many countries as well as business verticals have

come up with laws to protect personal data and privacy.
